CARM: The new way to assess and pay duties and taxes for imported goods

On October 21, 2024, CARM will become the official system of record for duties and taxes and will be replacing older systems. Discover the impact on your business and how to prepare accordingly.

The Canada Border Services Agency is changing the way you account for the goods you import into Canada.

On October 21, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency Assessment and Revenue Management System, better known as CARM will become the official system of record to pay your taxes and duties.

If you import commercial goods, you now will have to enrol online, even if you use the services of a custom broker.

Familiar with the Commercial Cash Entry Processing System, also known as the CCEPS machines, available at the ports of entry?
