ANNIHILATOR Broadhead Battle: Original vs XL

Here is my sharpness scoring scale, using the Edge on Up Sharpness Testing Machine:
First of all, what are some common scores for other edges? Here are some examples:

A butter knife takes 2000 grams of pressure to break the wire.
A new high end cutlery edge takes approx 375 grams of pressure to break the wire.
A utility razor blade takes approx 200 grams to break the wire.

Based on the many broadheads I have tested, here is my scoring scale:

Out of the Box Sharpness:

0-200 gr: 10
201-300 gr 9
301-400 gr: 8
401-500 gr: 7
501-600 gr: 6
601-700 gr: 5
701-800 gr: 4
801-900 gr: 3
901-1000 gr: 2
1001-1100 gr: 1
1101+ gr: 0

Edge Retention: Sharpness difference after Penetration Test 1:
10 minus 1 point for every 50 grams of sharpness difference. For example, if the initial sharpness was 400 gr of pressure and the sharpness after Penetration Test 1 was 450, the head would receive a 9 for Edge Retention Score.

I've previously tested the Annihilator Original...please check out that video if you've not seen it yet. But my biggest critique of it was its relatively small cutting diameter. Granted, it's design lends it to displacing more tissue than most other fixed blade heads. But the XL has now boosted its value quite a bit by allowing it to cut about 17 % more tissue. That intrigues me.

But does it fly well? Does it penetrate well? Is it durable enough? These are the questions we must answer.

In addition to this, I have improved some of my testing procedures...yet again :) I am now using a Sharpness Tester by Edge on Up, to test the factory sharpness as well as the sharpness AFTER Penetration Test 1. This is a bit more objective and accurate than my previous push paper test.

I'm also testing flight by shooting a group of one field point and two broadheads at 40 yds, to see how well they fly similarly.

And I've created a new LUSK GRADE for each head, based on how it performs in my testing. It will receive anywhere between 0 and 10 "Golden Arrows."

I've also demonstrated how the new "344" Broadhead Sharpener by Stay Sharp Guide works by changing the bevel angle of a solid 3 blade head from 60 degrees to 44, thus making it much sharper.

I have also picked up a new sponsor with my top recommendation for Broadhead Sharpening. https://staysharpguide.com The support I get for that has helped me improve my channel.
