North Carolina Outfielder Kane Kepley | 2025 MLB Draft

North Carolina outfield Kane Kepley was selected 56th overall by the Chicago Cubs in the 2025 MLB Draft. Kepley played one season at North Carolina after transferring from Liberty. Throughout college, he has been a great contact hitter with a 90% contact rate in 2024 and an 89% contact rate in 2025. While he has not shown much power, he is a great player to set the table at the top of the lineup and get knocked in by the better slugging hitters in the middle of the order. He has shown the speed and instincts to be a solid defensive outfielder in the big leagues. Kane Kepley should be able to find a home with the Cubs at Wrigley in a few seasons.
