From Bastard File To Puukko (With Help From Lasers)

Making a Puukko knife with stacked cork and cardstock handle recycling the good steel of an old and worn file. Heat treatment is skipped by keeping the blade cool during all grinding stages. The goal of this project is to see how I can incorporate a laser cutter into my knifemaking workflow, in this case by tracing patterns and cutting the cork and cardstock for the handle stack. The laser I have is the FLUX Beambox, with 40W laser. Read more here:
