Tornado hits my house! Bear, Delaware tornado, August 4th, 2020.

Tornado in Bear, Delaware on August 4th, 2020. Came from the outer bands of Isaias. This tornado ended up being rated an EF2 with winds of 115 mph by the NWS. The tornado was definitely weaker by the time it hit my house, I’d guess it was an EF0-EF1 in this video!

For anyone that is curious, my entire life I have been obsessed with weather and have studied it. When I saw this tornado had touched down in Dover, Delaware I saw it was weak but was heading right towards me. As it got closer and the warnings were issued my family all went to the basement and I set my camera up in hopes of recording the tornado. While my family was in the basement, I was waiting in the doorway of the basement looking out the front door (where the camera is facing) and watching the radar. The tornado was even weaker by this point so I decided to wait in the doorway of the basement, since this may be my only chance to be in a tornado and actually see it, and then I would run down to the basement at the last second when it was right over me.
Everyone was okay and our house itself had no damage, there was mainly tree damage, some house damage to other houses on my street, and our trampoline was picked up and dropped on our neighbors fence.
