Conflict and turmoil in the Middle East have made it too easy to overlook the Golden Age of Islam, when stable and prosperous Arab civilizations produced the greatest scientists, mathematicians and innovators the world had ever seen. This session explores the forgotten legacy of an era when “Arabic Science” led the world in discovery for mankind. It challenges today’s leaders to imagine and create conditions for a new age of opportunity for Arab youth.

مع تنامي الصراعات والاضطرابات في الشرق الأوسط، قد يغفل البعض عن تذكّر العصر الذهبي الذي عرفته الأمة الإسلامية في الماضي، وهو العصر الذي أنتجت فيه الحضارات العربية المستقرة والمزدهرة بعضاً من أهم وأبرز العلماء والمبتكرين في ميادين علمية شتى. تم تخصيص هذه الجلسة للإضاءة على ذلك الإرث الحضاري المنسي الذي تبوأت فيه العلوم العربية مراتب متقدمة وضعتها في صدارة سباق الاكتشافات التي غيرت وجه البشرية جمعاء. وتحث هذه الجلسة قادة العالم اليوم على توفير الفرص والظروف الملائمة للشباب العربي.
