Elf fue una banda de blues rock fundada en 1967 por el bajista y vocalista Ronnie James Dio, el teclista Doug Thaler, el batería Gary Driscoll y los guitarristas Nick Pantas y David Feinstein,
primo de Dio. Su nombre original fue The Electric Elves, acortado posteriormente a The Elves y, por último, a Elf, denominación definitiva que se adoptó en 1970. El grupo se separó en 1975 habiendo grabado tres álbumes de estudio. Esta discografia contiene todos los discos de Elf, incluyendo Electric Elves y The Elves. Ademas de en las bandas en que estuvo Ronnie en los años 60' cantando temas romanticos... Por ultimo les cuento que en estos grupos Ronnie tocaba el bajo.
