A visit to Swarkestone

This is the first half of another two-parter. As with Church Broughton a few weeks ago, the first part takes the form of a combined drone and ground level look around; this time the historic village of Swarkestone, just to the south of Derby. Crossing the River Trent and its floodplain, Swarkestone Causeway is famous as being the longest stone bridge in the UK, as well as for other historic events as we will discuss. Part Two will be along soon and will consist of a 5½ walk, starting at Swarkestone, going out alongside the Causeway to Stanton by Bridge and coming back in a loop via Kings Newton and the disused railway line to cross back over the Trent. It will be up once I have edited it!
