Final Fantasy VII : 100% Speedrun in 15:01:24 (WR)

World record for the 100% RTA (Real Time Attack) category (NoSlots, NoDebugRoom, i.e. you don't use Cait Sith's Limit Break Game Over or warp into the Debug Room), played on the English Steam PC Version, using real time.

This is an almost 10-minute improvement to my old run (15:11:18 - http://www.twitch.tv/xerokynos/c/5502505). A lot of things in this run went very smoothly. Among them, I did not lose any time at all to the Chocobo racing. In many of my previous attempts, I lost minutes to not being able to win enough GP or the Sneak Attack or Enemy Away materia in time. One of the most visible flaws of this run is an additional Speed Square ride I had to take to win a Masamune Blade, resulting in a time loss of about 4 minutes.
Still, this run is not sub15, which at the moment seems to be the holy grail for this category to me, and I will keep on running FF7 100% at least until I accomplish this.

As FF7 does not have a proper game completion counter, one will have to define on one's own what is to be understood by 100%. Obviously, determining what to include in 100% can be controversial and seem arbitrary. Regardless, I feel that the prerequisites I have come up with for the 100% category allow for an interesting speedrun and are as close as possible to what is intuitively understood by 100%.

Here is what my definition of 100% is:
1] Defeat all bosses
2] Get all optional characters
3] Finish all sidequests:
3.1) Turtle's Paradise: Claim the Turtle's Paradise prize
3.2) Kalm Traveller: Exchange a Guide Book, the Earth Harp and the Desert Rose in Kalm
3.3) Nibelheim: Watch the cutscene in the Shinra Mansion basement after Cloud's lifestream episode
3.3) Wutai: Start and finish the Stolen Materia sidequest
3.4) Villa de Cloud: Buy the villa in Costa del Sol
3.5) Huge Materia: Collect all 4 Huge Materia
4] Have all characters learn all of their Limit Breaks
5] Have all 4 Enemy Skill Materia mastered
6] Have 1 of each Materia
7] Have 1 of each Weapon, Armor, Accessory
8] Have 1 of each item (unless it is a unique item that needs to be used up in a sidequest, learning process etc.)

Remarks on my reasoning for these goals:
My general idea behind this 100% definiton is to prevent missing anything permanently.
Hence, even though having all characters learn all of their Limit Breaks takes a very long time, I still pursue this subgoal as some Limit Breaks (Aerith's, Cosmo Memory and All Creation) can be permanently missed.
Equally, I do master all 4 Enemy Skill Materia as some Enemy Skills, namely Trine and Pandora's Box, can be permanently missed as well.
On the other hand, I do not consider actually mastering 1 of each Materia a requirement for 100% as mastering Materia is not a missable task since one can do so at any point as long as one has 1 of each Materia, with the exception of Enemy Skill. Additionally, were one to master 1 of each Materia, one would in particular need to master the Underwater Materia, which will attain its mastered state only if it has accumulated exactly 2^24-1 AP, i.e. 16,777,215 AP.
For a similar reason, I do not regard levelling up characters to 99 to be a 100% condition.

At the moment, I am the only person to run Final Fantasy VII : 100%. Feel free to change that. ;]
