Okay so whats happening here is from the start of Maplefalls story ! Her clan's leader is in deep trouble with some other leaders as their deputy dies after they led their clan into a battle they couldn't win! Maplefall isnt a fan of clanlife and when their leader says they should be the new deputy since all the other cats are too hurt from the battle she decides to leave her clan.
So here we see the jerk leader, the deputy that died and Maplefall.
