In today's episode of India Global, The death toll from a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar nearly a week ago has surpassed 3,000, as search and rescue teams continue to recover more bodies. The quake, one of the strongest in the nation's history, has left a trail of destruction, demolishing numerous buildings and critical infrastructure.

According to a statement from the ruling military government, approximately 4,715 people have been injured, while 341 individuals remain unaccounted for. The disaster has overwhelmed the country, compounding the challenges faced by survivors and relief workers alike. Conditions may worsen further as weather officials have forecasted unseasonal rainfall from Sunday through April 11, posing a threat to the hardest-hit regions. This could significantly hinder the massive relief efforts already underway.
