Review: Cowon Plenue D2 - SQ better than AK380 + SPM1000M

TL;DW - In short order the D2 has become my DAP reference. Great battery life, wonderful size, and great sound. It’s got power, amazing drive fidelity both loaded and unloaded, and an EQ system that would make Einstein blush (homophonic joke). Its UI is poor. Its screen is poor. User feedback is poor. But audiophiles, like Fujifilm X fans, rarely really care about the small things.

The Plenue D2 tests better but offers fewer features than my current hero, the Onkyo DP-S1. It follows that it is better than Fiio M6, and the Sony ZX300.
