Baldur's Gate 3 Co-Op Chaos with Zoran the Bear
Zoran was our lovely dwarf and I also used some of his stream footage. Check his YouTube out here: https://www.youtube.com/user/ZoranTheBear Or his Twitch here: https://www.twitch.tv/zoranthebear
I know no one ever reads this, but anyway. I'm aware they said it was a "beta test" to find bugs, but unfortunately when you have a full banner ad on the front page of steam and are charging $60 USD for a single Act of an utterly broken game, you don't get that excuse. Early Access and Community QA is possible - but back in the day, Early Access meant you paid a fraction of the cost for the game. Minecraft or Kenshi were incredible cheap when they were in their early stages and buggy. This meant you could get community QA, the devs still got a little income and people were rewarded for buying it early by not paying full price. Alternatively, if you require full price, it's really simple. RELEASE A FREE DEMO. This game does not have a demo, because demos are FREE. Let players test and break it, and then you can release an actual, full game at the end and charge them for it. If players want a refund for this, they need to go through steam refunds - aka the over 2 hours, no refund system.
There is no excuse for charging full price for this. It is not 'early access' or 'QA', it's a paid beta test because they are 100% aware that they can get away with charging people due to the massive name brand. There is no need or excuse to do it, but they will because it pays well. Especially since they had the front page of steam banner ad, you don't do a massive advertisement for "hey only buy this if you want QA", obviously not on steam where the average person has no idea about Baldur's Gate 3 and just sees a big shiny ad for a new game.
Despite that all, we still had our fun with it, mainly thanks to hanging out with mates. I like the D&D setting so much more than Divinity's, and it kinda pains me when the "Divinity" side of the game crops up over the D&D side.
