How To Mirror iPhone Screen to Mac - Free and Easy

Learn how to screen mirror your iPhone to your Mac computer in 2 easy ways! We'll show you how to screen mirror iPhone to Mac wirelessly, or with a USB cable.

Method 1: Use QuickTime and a USB cable
Method 2: Reflector 3 Software (wireless)

To screen mirror iPhone to Mac with QuickTime, start by plugging your iPhone into your Mac using the USB cable it came with. Then, click QuickTime in your Mac’s launch pad to start up the software. At the top of your screen, click File, then select New Movie Recording. By default, QuickTime will select your Mac’s webcam as the source. To change it to your iPhone screen, click the downwards arrow beside the record button, then select your iPhone from the list. You should now be able to see your iPhone screen on your Mac. If you want, you can also record your iPhone screen using QuickTime by clicking the record button. To stop recording, click Stop. If you just want to view your iPhone screen on your Mac and not record it, just don’t click the record button.

To mirror your iPhone to your Mac wirelessly, start by downloading the Reflector software for Mac. Open your Mac’s web browser and go to airsquirrels.com/reflector. Click Try in the top right corner. You’ll see Reflector 3 for Mac listed as a download option. Click Download FREE for 7 days. Once the download is complete, click on the download at the bottom of your browser window. Run the installer. Drag the Reflector icon into your Applications folder. Now, double click the Reflector icon to launch it on your Mac. Click Try Reflector. Swipe your finger upwards from the bottom of your iPhone screen, then select Screen Mirroring. From the options that appear, select your Mac. Tap the switch beside Mirroring to enable screen mirroring. You’ll then see your iPhone screen appear on your Mac. To stop mirroring, swipe up on your iPhone to open your control panel, select Screen Mirroring, then tap Stop Mirroring.
