Cashierless clothing shop: Testing new Seattle Seahawks store that uses Amazon tech and RFIDs
GeekWire Managing Editor Taylor Soper tested a new version of Amazon's "Just Walk Out" technology before the Seattle Seahawks game on Sept. 24, 2023. The new installation at the Seahawks Pro Shop Outlet allows fans to shop for t-shirts, hats, and other apparel and "Just Walk Out" with their purchases. RFID tags allow the checkout gate to automatically detect which items have been purchased. Food and beverages can also be purchased at Lumen Field from a variety of concession locations using "Just Walk Out" technology.
