Widow fights for change to law after insurance battle

Last summer in our series “The Cost of Denial,” NBC News’ Erin McLaughlin reported on Eric Tennant who was seeking a treatment for the bile duct cancer he had, hoping it would prolong his life. Insurance denied coverage at first, and once it was approved, the cancer had spread too far. Now Eric’s widow has fought for a change to the law.
