This Nurse BLEW HERSELF UP To Save Wounded Soldiers…

Throughout the Second World War there were many different people who did heroic acts to save others. One of the most shocking but brave actions of World War 2 saw a teenage nurse grab a bag of grenades and run towards a Tiger I tank. Valeriya Gnarovskaya it's believed saved over 300 wounded soldiers evacuating them from the battlefield under heavy fire from the German Army, and she saved their lives. She was also a fearsome soldier, and was credited with a number of enemy kills. She saw service at Stalingrad and in some of the deadliest battles of the war, but then she would do something heroic in her final stand.

Near to the village of Ivanenka, a huge battle erupted and the Soviet Red Army were under heavy fire. She was evacuating soldiers when she saw two Tiger Tanks heading towards a medical aid post. Inside here were nurses, doctors and wounded soldiers and the Tiger Tank was going to fire upon the aid station. Without a seconds hesitation, Valeriya grabbed a bag of grenades and ran towards the Tiger Tank and lied under it, and then detonated the grenades destroying the tank. She was blown up in this action, but her bravery and sacrifice saved the lives of many.
