Are you waiting for a sign?
Seven and a half years ago I noticed a recording studio.
Right across the street from my office.
I'd been thinking about starting a podcast for months.
Researching. Planning. Waiting until I was ready.
And there it was.
Sitting right across the street.
Felt less like a coincidence.
More like an answer.
So I walked in.
$750 a month.
One episode a week.
Zero experience.
Zero guarantees.
Just a decision.
And I built it for one reason:
The job seeker who couldn't get a meeting with a hiring manager.
The professional trying to break in with no connections.
The person wondering why nobody was responding.
I brought in recruiters. Hiring managers. Career coaches.
And gave those conversations away for free.
Every single week.
And something unexpected happened.
The more I showed up for others…
The more everything showed up for me.
Doors opened.
Relationships formed.
Opportunities arrived.
Not because I was strategic.
Because I was consistent.
And genuinely trying to help.
Here's what I know now that I didn't know then:
You don't need perfect timing.
You need aligned action.
Start with what you have.
Show up for someone other than yourself.
Stay consistent long enough for it to compound.
Because the thing that changes your life…
Is probably closer than you think.
The question is whether you'll walk across the street when you see it.
