Disabled Ottawan laments the lack of accessible taxis in town
Michael Lifshitz who uses a wheelchair is a man with a job who likes to go out, make other people laugh and generally live his life as he sees fit.
Last weekend he went to Toronto and carefully planned his return home by train and then by adapted taxi. The latter never came.
We need to do better at making accessible transport available.
