Sparrow 40-horse hitch, 1993, short version

The Sparrow Farm (Zearing, Iowa) presents its 40-horse-hitch of Belgiums at the Waukon, Iowa, Threshers Days parade in 1993. This is the short version of the video by Helen D. Gunderson of Ames. She has also posted a longer version with scenes of grooming and harnessing the horses before the parade, unharnessing and watering them after the parade, followed by footage of the Sparrow family, workers, and friends eating, talking, and relaxing.

The original Super VHS video tapes are in Helen's collection at the Iowa State University Special Collections Department in the Parks Library.
