Beach Stewards is a program of North Sound Stewards and aims to train volunteers to get out on the beach as interpreters to help beach visitors enjoy our local beaches without loving our beaches to death. This piece includes a brief review of part 1, dives into species likely to be found on the beach and covers water quality issues at the beach. Part 1 of this training was also be recorded and available, covering more species, beach etiquette, and an introduction to tides. We'll be heading out to Birch Bay State Park and Larrabee State Park in Whatcom County this summer. Recorded on May 10, 2021.
