Part 3 of the Sassanid Empire (Sassanian Empire) covers the period from Hormizd I to Narseh. This is the period just before the longest reigning Shah in Iranian history, Shapur II whom we will cover in Part 4.

The Shahenshah's of this episode deal with Rome and civil strife in order to keep the empire whole.
