Mariachi Aztlán and Ballet Folklorico UTRGV - Este Es Mi Mexico / La Cuera

Mariachi Aztlán brought down the house at the 24th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza as they opened for the world-renowned Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán in San Antonio, TX. Mariachi Aztlán was joined onstage by the award-winning Ballet Folklorico UTRGV whose talent and gorgeous costumery added zest and color to the stage.

This featured popurrí begins with Este es Mi México accompanied by female folklorico dancers dressed in the different regional outfits of Mexico and continues into La Cuera which highlights eight male folklorico dancers dressed in the traje de charro from Jalisco.

Mariachi Aztlán and Ballet Folklorico UTRGV are from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX. Mariachi Aztlán is under the direction of Dr. Dahlia Guerra and Francisco Loera and Ballet Folklorico UTRGV is led by director Miguel Peña.
