Mash-bill: 78% Corn, 10% Rye & 12% malted barley

Notes: Released September 2022 - this batch just took out Worlds Best Small Batch at the World Whiskey Awards for 2023. Since this is a regular release every few months, this has a notable high proof and was the third and highest of the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Releases for 2022.

As we dive into this nose, layers of flavour here from oak, leather, tobacco, raw sugar over that brown sugar sweetness, maple syrup and more of a Black Forest gateau.

Palate, medium viscosity, medium spice down the sides of the tongue, shortbread note and a caramel that comes through on the Kentucky Chew.

As I take this one down, medium finish of black black pepper and oak, candied cashews.

Onto the SIP / SHOOT / SINK method;

SIP - Quality pour, can sit and drink it all night 🥃
SHOOT - Treat this like Fireball/Sheepdog at a bar 🔫
SINK - Drain worthy pour 🚰
