Martin Luther King Jr.'s Day Holiday Weekend 2019

We wanted to go back to hiking and a good way to do it is to hike Big Basin with people we work and play with for the MLK Jr.'s Day.

It has been raining in the Bay Area and this usually result in having the river and waterfalls flow with beautiful water.

Hope you enjoy this video. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel if you haven't already done so.

Thank you.
We went to Big Basin Redwoods Park, California’s oldest state park, and considered as a historical landmark.

It is home to the largest continuous stand of awe-inspiring, ancient coast redwoods that are among the tallest and oldest trees on earth. Some measure around 300 ft tall (or maybe more! Imagine, taller than Statue of Liberty), 50 ft in circumference and estimated to be around 1000-2500 years old.

Big Basin is open all year-round and around 2 hours drive from San Francisco.

The admission charge is 10 USD day-use fee for those wishing to park a vehicle. There is no charge per person. There are campgrounds, tent cabins and trail camps. Campsites are 35 USD per night (including the 10 USD day use fee).

For more information, you can check www. parks.ca.gov/bigbasin or call them at (831) 338-8860.
