Cervical Therapy Collar | Amazing Life Chiropractic and Wellness, Mill Creek

Dr. Gabrielle Soucy with Amazing Life Chiropractic and Wellness explains the uses and benefits of a Cervical Therapy Collar. In this video, she is using a Vista® Multipost Therapy Collar, which are the ones that we use in our chiropractic clinic.

WHEN TO USE

A cervical collar is needed when either you've been in the in a car accident and you've had a major neck pain or maybe a disc herniation in your neck. Or, it could be from long-term postures where you have forward head carriage and you want to just bring your head back a little bit more in a natural position.

HOW IT WORKS

The cervical collar will actually help by exercising your neck about 30 minutes a day and just restoring that natural neck curve. There is a built-in pump in the back, which will create that circle traction in the back of the neck to create the natural neck curve and get rid of that forward head carriage.

HERNIATED DISC

When it comes to a herniated disc, it actually will elongate the spine a little bit and have the disc come in a little bit more to reduce the strain on the nerves of the neck.

FEATURES

The Vista Mulipost Therapy Collar also comes with a cold pack that you can put in the freezer. This allows you to ice your neck at the same time, if you have muscles that are inflamed.
