IPHONE VLOG: Scottie’s Beach Birthday Trip, First Golf Experience, Swimming with the Fish | #SKYfam

Slater and I never wanted a big birthday celebration for Scottie’s 1st. Pre-pandemic, pre-baby, we were always aligned that we would rather spend his birthday traveling somewhere nice. A new place we could build memories in, and bring family and loved ones with us. So when Scott finally turned one- we did just that. It’s not a new place, since we don’t feel safe to really travel yet. But, Shangrila’s beach, right here in Cebu, is new enough for Scott, who has only ever been there at 5 months old. The result? Everything we ever imagined.

We filled our 3 days with activities that we were sure Scottie boo would enjoy. When we saw his face light up, or when his jaw dropped in awe- everything was sooo worth it. I’m so thankful some of my family decided to join us and book a stay too. It’s really heartwarming to see how much they love Scott, and how much they want to spend these moments and build these memories with us.

My goal for his birthday was to make sure Scott felt loved, and I am pretty sure we hit the head on the nail. Enjoy!
