Harrier Vertical Takeoff and Landing from the Cockpit - DCS World 4K 60fps HDR

This was the most challenging video I've ever made in my life. It took hundreds of hours and over 1,000GB of failed renders and uploads to create the footage for this video. I went to extreme lengths to record, edit, and export this video in full 4K 60FPS HDR. It is currently insanely hard to work with #HDR footage and very little is known about it. What I do know is that it does allow for better visual clarity of smaller things in the image along with the ability to view more colors/levels of light without being distorted and overall visual data. So I went ahead and recorded a flight in #DCSWorld where I fly the #harrier from Las Vegas McCarran International airport to #Nellis Air Force base via the Las Vegas Strip. I did this to give me a good chance to capture a lot of small details that usually get left out or "compressed" out of a video in the YouTube player. HDR when managed properly can almost completely remove the youtube "compression issue", which allows for visuals on the youtube player that are THE SAME quality as what is seen on my monitor while recording. In order to view this video in HDR you need to have an HDR compatible device and display with HDR mode on. After it is on, you will see the options for HDR under the quality/resolution menu of the YouTube player. As I previously mentioned, HDR is still very unknown and experimental. There's no real tutorials or guides on how to make this kind of footage and is purely dependent on your equipment/knowledge so this might look different on each device. If you have the ability, you can alter the brightness, contrast, and gamma on your display for the best viewing experience.
