Installing an Intel NUC Core i5 (for Bizplay.com)

The Intel NUC is little powerhouse. It's an ideal digital signage player. It is also a bare bone pc, meaning that you need to install some components yourself.

In this video we show the newest NUC: the Core i5 (DC53427HYE). If you want to use it with our web-based digital signage solution Bizplay.com, then all you essentially need to install is one or two memory modules and (in most cases) a WIFI adapter. A hard disk (or ssd) is not necessary if you boot off a USB stick with our Bizplay Plug 'n Playr. As you'll see, it's not hard to install the memory and WIFI adapter.

Oh, and as you might have guessed: assembling another NUC model, like the Core i3 is exactly the same process.

To summarize: here's your shopping list for what you need to get in addition to the NUC:
1. one or two memory modules; 4GB is more than enough (we used the Kingston KVR16S11S8/4)
2. an Intel Centrino 6230 or 6235 mini PCIe WIFI adapter
3. a power cord for the power supply
