She moved like lighting through the air.
She didn't turn and didn’t slow pace.

But then at odds we stood against each other -
she smiled, her eyes with spark of glee.
I know she may love another,
but in my heart she shares life with me...

AN IMPASSE

My angel tells me not to think of her.
His wisdom mutes and grows thinner.
My demon sends me dreams of her.
I feel like saint who dreams of being sinner.

And I wake up each day by being torn apart -
demonic angel full of love and wrath...
and play my part.
It's an impasse...

No, I don't want to say goodbye, I can't.
I'm trapped & bound by the feeling.
It doesn't matter how much I vent -
my rhyming blows through my ceiling.

And I'm looking for a single chance -
one chance she's never ever given
to see her once... Yes, only once
to meet her eyes to be forgiven...

and harness energy of other,
sensation of a touch
you've never felt before,
your destiny zigzag
to fuse you with another,
perhaps, is way too much
to wish and hope for?
