NOLANS BROOK STRIKES AGAIN | DAY THREE ON THE OLD TELEGRAPH TRACK 2019

Day three was another early start on the 22nd of June, 2019. We had a plan to hit the tip that afternoon, however the best laid plans can sometimes have a few hiccups. We left Sams Creek but soon came to a stop due to a camper trailer becoming unhooked on a steep descent before Mistake Creek. We were blocked here for about an hour before the traffic cleared and we were on our way. Day three was filled with all the deepest crossing but a little forward planning and walking them beforehand saw us hitting Nolans early in the morning. The big 60 went first but lost traction. The strap on the front had become stuck under the front wheel and that was the cause to all our problems. The 60 was recovered backwards and was in the water for less than two minutes but it shows how quickly things can turn. Water caused a few problems and mechanical repairs were completed quickly with us all crossing again only an hour later. We pulled up at the Jardine River and had quite a few beers to recover from our day.
