Katherine Huang is a freshman at MIT, majoring in Urban Planning and Computer Science. She is the founder and director of Science and Us (scienceandus.org), a nonprofit helping high school students communicate science with the public and explore science policy, media, and outreach—fields that are exciting, important, and rarely mentioned in classrooms. She is a founding member of the We Are America Project (weareamericaproject.com), working with teachers and students from 23 states to redefine American identity through stories. She enjoys making websites, dancing, attending hackathons, eating pasta, and exploring new places.
