Batman (1989) 4K UHD Blu-ray Review + 35mm & Super 8

Tim Burton's big screen adaptation of the comic book superhero on 4K disc from original 35mm negative. Includes the history of the character as well as the film plus the successful teaser trailer that set the path for the massive worldwide box office gross in excess of $400m.
This 4K disc is very good quality. I don't think it's quite up there with the 'Jaws' 4K release but that is a difficult comparison given Jaws is mainly bright light with a panoply of colours everywhere but make no mistake that 'Batman' in 4K is surprisingly good. Both Jaws and Batman were shot on 35mm so don't expect them to look as good as films shot on VistaVision or 65mm/70mm such as 'The Ten Commandments', 'Murder on the Orient Express or 'Tenet'.
