KÅKÅnomics 2018: The Future of Capitalism - facing the new anxieties
Western society is affected by several conflicts such as megacities sucking the life out of villages, the poorly educated loosing jobs and all prospects of a decent future while wealthy individuals are joining forces in organizations wealthier than entire nations. World famous Oxford professor sir Paul Collier has made this the backdrop for his new book due to be released right before he joins us at KÅKÅnomics 2018.
To quote the Norwegian author Jon Hustad, he argues for a new kind of capitalism built upon common wealth in line with ideas of Adam Smith and Edmund Burke and furthermore solidarity between members of family, workplace and communities. Nobel prize winner George Akerlof describe Colliers with the following lines:
The future of capitalism is the most revolutionary work of social science since Keynes. Lets hope it will also be the most influential. These times are in desperate need of Paul Colliers insights.
