POV: you finally started taking hip mobility seriously and your back pain and stiffness is gone

Tight, weak hips= back pain. Why ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Limited hip motion forces your lower back to move more than it should. The lumbar spine does not do well with excessive movement.

➡️ If your hips don’t rotate, flex, or extend properly, your back compensates, increasing stress on discs, joints, and muscles. That’s especially true with activities like walking, squatting, or bending.

Common examples:
Tight hip flexors → increased lumbar lordosis (arched back)
Limited hip rotation → more twisting through the spine.
Stiff hamstrings → compensation through the lower back when bending forward

*the exercise in this reel is a Russian deadlift with hip adduction with one leg on a bench for frontal plane activation- this activates the posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, lumbar extensors) while also engaging the hip adductors in a lengthened position.
