Syd was a diver, boat captain and operations manager for Mel Fisher from 1979-1997 and was on site when both the Santa Margarita and the Nuestra Senora de Atocha were found and recovered. Syd’s book, “Atocha Treasure Adventures; Sweat of the Sun, Tears of the Moon” shares as it happened action of searching for and recovering $500 million in sunken Spanish treasure.
