Prediction and Control of Combustion Instabilities in Real Engines, Thierry Poinsot
Prof. Thierry Poinsot, Institut de Mécanique des Fluides de Toulouse (CNRS and Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse), France, delivered the Hottel Lecture on Monday, 1 August 2016 for the 36th Symposium on Combustion, titled Prediction and Control of Combustion Instabilities in Real Engines. The Hottel Lecture is named after the late Hoyt C. Hottel (1903–1998), professor in the department of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and co-founder of The Combustion Institute. As the paramount plenary lecture of the symposium, a distinguished leader in a field of combustion is selected biennially to deliver a presentation.
