Britney Spear's estranged father, Jamie, is reportedly recovering after being hospitalized with a bacterial infection. According to multiple media outlets, the 71-year-old was severely ill. “Jamie has been suffering with a bad infection that has required surgery. He has been hospitalized for weeks in a special infectious disease facility," a source told Page Six. Now he's on the road to recovery in an infectious disease outpatient facility, People confirms. Access Hollywood has reached out for comment. The reports of his health scare comes amid reported tension between the "Toxic" singer and her father. The pair have allegedly had a strained relationship since Britney was placed under a conservatorship in 2008. While she was battling to end the legal arrangement two years ago, her father was removed from his role as her estate conservator. The conservatorship ultimately ended in November 2021.
