AWS re:Invent 2019: Zero to cloud: BT’s CCOE challenges, solutions, and patterns (TLC304)

In December 2018, British Telecom selected AWS as its preferred provider of cloud services and has adopted AWS in many parts of its enterprise. In this session, we walk through the path that the British Telecom Cloud Center of Excellence has taken, from building a landing zone that incorporates BT’s security and governance requirements leveraging AWS to implementing design patterns and unique hybrid scenarios—and what BT’s considerations were along the way. BT also demonstrates how it’s using its internal communications to drive the platform as a product and enable its teams to move to the public cloud.
