Kids safe Wi-Fi with Unifi - Content filters and timings

Welcome to another video. In this video I'm showing you how to set up child safe Wi-Fi with content filters and on/off timings, using Unifi's USG and Access Points.

In the video I set up a VLAN with the DNS set to Open DNS's 'Family shield' which means all the content is filtered to ensure no adult content. Additionally I also set up a designated Wi-Fi network for Children which uses the VLAN and also has timings to ensure it is only active when you want it to be.

Content filtering doesn't just have to be for kids, you can also use it for an office or work environment, public Wi-Fi hotspots in cafe's or restaurants, or anywhere else where you don't want people viewing adult content.
