Is violence in Manipur reaching a breaking point?

India’s far northeastern region is facing increased instability as a result of the growing violence in Manipur State. Violent assaults by both the minority Kuki and majority Meithi communities continue to hit the headlines, forcing thousands of people to flee the region. And as the level of violence in Manipur state keeps rising, civil society groups in India are criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration for failing to defuse the situation.
