Installing a Walbro 450 in a Turbo 8.1 Silverado

The stock in tank pump on UglyTruck just wasnt cutting it, so it was time for a Walbro 450 to go inside the tank. Walbro is a name you hear a lot around in tank fuel pumps, and I wanted to make sure I had plenty of fuel for the Turbo Vortec 8100 in this 2000 Silverado. The steps I show here will work for a 1999 to 2002 Silverado, and are very similar to other years as well.

In addition to the larger fuel pump, I also installed a Racetronix hotwire kit which will prevent any voltage drop from the factory wiring not being able to support the increased load of the larger pump. Hopefully with the Walbro 450 and the Hotwire kit, this turbo big block silverado will have no fuel pressure issues and be able to lay some good numbers down on the dyno.
