HAPPENING NOW—JOE BIDEN SPEAKS: Joe Biden is speaking in Wilmington, DE as his current lead over Pres. Trump in both the popular and electoral vote continues to expand. Biden currently has 248 Electoral College votes, Pres. Trump has 214, and 270 are needed to win. The key swing state of Wisconsin has just been called for Biden. Five battleground states are still in play—Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Georgia, and Pennsylvania—accounting for 79 Electoral College votes. Biden has more paths to victory than Trump and could win by picking up two or three of the remaining states. Last night, Biden thanked the American people for their patience and reiterated that ‘it ain’t over till every vote is counted.’ Earlier today, Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said that they believe Biden will become victorious after every vote is accounted for and is ‘on a clear path to victory.’ She then responded to Pres. Trump’s calls to stop counting any ballots after Election Night by stating that ‘the president does not get to pick whose votes to count.’
