Lighting your macro images

We're getting into prime macro season and so here at Camera Lessons Online we're dedicating July to all things macro. Today we'll examine my favorite way to shoot macro images and that is to light them. Why would we do so, how do we control the effect, and what is to be gained? All these questions and more will be answered.
