A lot of people will consider this excessive, but believe me, this title has many objective issues with the story, characters, lore, and gameplay in so many ways. I elaborate on such things, provide strategies for key sections, elaborate on Resident Evil 4 OG, elaborate on other relevant Resident Evil media when its needed, and talk about the general lack of care and confusion displayed by New Capcom in how they handled this title. The number of people that disregard the amount of depth RE4 OG's lore has is too much, which is why I have to detail the lore to such a degree. All of it amounts to almost a 17 hour retrospective.
I'm sure many people wonder why this is so different to the traditional review format, which typically involve videos that are an hour or less. It's because I don't feel like such videos can capture enough of the issues to fully elucidate the problems with these titles, and they often don't focus on gameplay issues. And while there are reviews I've watched that are exceptions, there's too many problems with RE4 Remilk that don't allow such short videos to work. Not to mention that this is a title tied to the most expansive video game universe ever, which only further justifies the length. This deep dive allows me to examine the story, lore, and characters greatly and find out details I didn't know previously. Besides, most, if not all Resident Evil critiques I see from other people are not very good at demonstrating a proper understanding of Resident Evil, which is something I sought to rectify.
