In this race the BMW's weight penalty is reduced and they gain the advantage of the aerodynamic package homologated internationally, also in South Africa as the E36 318i Motorsport. Please note the 318is "Motorsport 2" was not the real deal, the bootspoiler on that did not give the downforce of the original.
In this race the absence of Serge Damseaux proves that you can get very ill from the flu, even end up in hospital. I'll say no more....
