1. Worker Rights from Day One:
You will be protected from being fired unfairly and have the right to leave for paternity, parental, and bereavement reasons as soon as you begin working.

2. Zero-Hours Contracts: Businesses that exploit workers through zero-hours contracts will be prohibited by the government. You will receive guaranteed hours if you work regular shifts.

3. Fire and Rehire: Employers are no longer permitted to fire employees and then hire them again on less favourable terms.

4. Sick Pay: Without having to first earn a specific amount, everyone will be eligible for sick pay starting on the day they become unwell.

5. Flexible Work Schedule: You are entitled to request flexible work schedules from your employers if you have a valid reason.
