Black Pepper - PVC Pipe Double Income Method (BPDI Method)

A novel method for producing black pepper, rooted cuttings and bush pepper. This method ensures the production of top shoots, lateral shoots and single node cuttings within a very short period in open condition.
Benefits
• We can produce black pepper as well as rooted black pepper saplings.
• A farmers get income from two ways, income from black pepper and income from rooted saplings
• Being a climber, black pepper need support for its growth. In this method the PVC pipe itself act as support and hence the shortage of supports are solved.
• In conventional method the field establishment is 30 to40 percentage, but in this method functional roots are grown from each nodes and hence we will get large number of rooted saplings with in few months. From a single pipe, we can produce an average of 200 single node cuttings along with top shoots and laterals.
• From this method, we will get three types rooted saplings such as top shoots, lateral shoots and single node cuttings. Top shoots with lateral branch having the advantage of producing fruit bearing branch from the base and start yielding early, laterals or plagiotropes can be used for production of bush pepper, in traditional method or in serpentine method, we will get only one type of rooted cutting.

• Other living or non-living standards did not provide any food to the vine, but in this method plant gets nutrients from each nodes and that promote the growth of the vine.

• In normal case if the primary root of the plant decays due to disease or any other reason the plant will be destroyed, but in this method even if the primary root decays the plant will grow with the help of the roots in the nodes.
