Making My First Full Stack Website | MERN Stack | Web Development in Hindi
How I Built a Video Editing Tools Website Using MERN Stack | React, Node.js, Media Converter, Full Devlog
In this video, I’m sharing the full journey of how I built my very first website from scratch using the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
This wasn’t just any website. I wanted to create a platform that offers real functionality—video editing tools, media converters, audio extractors, and features inspired by popular software like Premiere Pro and After Effects. I had no team, no prebuilt templates, and definitely no step-by-step guide. Just pure trial and error, late-night debugging, and a whole lot of learning.
I made this video as a mix of an honest devlog and an informative walkthrough. I’ve added a light comedic tone to make it more engaging, especially for those who are either starting out in web development or just want to see what it actually looks like to build a full-stack project solo.
What this video covers:
Planning and brainstorming the website idea
Setting up a MERN stack project from scratch
Building the frontend in React.js
Creating the backend using Node.js and Express
Using MongoDB for user data and tool configurations
Integrating video conversion and editing features using FFmpeg
Designing with basic HTML and CSS without any templates
Handling uploads, previews, and conversions in-browser
Discussing the difference between custom-built tools and platforms like WordPress
Mistakes I made and what I’d do differently next time
Who should watch:
Beginner to intermediate developers looking to see how a full-stack project actually comes together
Anyone curious about how to build a media converter or video editing tools for the web
Developers stuck between using WordPress or building their own platform
Creators and students exploring real-world JavaScript applications
Anyone who enjoys raw, behind-the-scenes devlogs with practical outcomes

If you're learning full-stack development, interested in building something beyond basic to-do apps, or just want to see what really goes into launching your first website from scratch, I think you’ll relate to this one.
Let me know in the comments if you'd like a part two, a deeper breakdown of the code, or a hosted version of the project. And if you're working on something similar, I’d love to hear about it.
