Pete, My Pet Praying Mantis

Pete, is my pet Praying Mantis. He lives in our backyard. Every now and then, I will go out and play with him. He likes you pick him up, and is not camera shy. He likes to crawl all over you, and will even "attack" you, as if you were a fly!.
By the way, Pete is a registered North American Mantid, and is a member of the American Praying Mantis Society.
Pete also has a girlfriend, Petunia Marie, who drops by once in a while. Pete is also very religious, and can be seen praying every Sunday.
